The format of the SAT changed in March 2016 to better reflect the kind of reading and math students will encounter in college and their future work lives. The “new” SAT is better aligned with Common Core standards. In effect, the SAT has been redesigned to be more like the ACT with the recent change: four sections, no penalty for wrong answers, optional essay. Despite the similar types of knowledge and skills required to succeed on both tests, the SAT and ACT still have many profound differences, especially when it comes to the Reading and Math sections.
Mann Prep’s SAT program has evolved with the recent changes to the SAT and our students have continued to experience big increases in their scores after working with us.
